Commencing on 16th September 2005 at Hyde Park, drivers will race over 48 hours to reach the beautiful city of Rome via the Austrian Alps, Tuscany and a lap of the Nurburgring in Germany. In true Cannonball style drivers will be expected to drive all day and party all night with pit-stops at a lavish hotel in Belgium, the OktoberFest and a final champagne-fuelled party, an essential part of the event. The event has rapidly grown in popularity and 2005 will see 122 cars and 200 drivers compete to reach Rome in the fastest time.
